Meet Ms. Stephens

Hello.  My name is Tonia L. Smith-Stephens, but I go by Tonia Stephens.  I began my teaching career as a Paraprofessional at J.A. Maxwell Elementary.  I worked at Maxwell for six years. After earning my teaching degree in 2008, I was hired by the Richmond County School System.  I taught grades Kindergarten, Second, Third, and Fourth in Richmond County.  I decided to join Thomson Elementary in 2019. Since returning to McDuffie County, I've taught Third Grade. I’ve taught in a co-teaching classroom, an EIP classroom, and General Education classroom. I enjoy teaching at Thomson Elementary.
