School Counselor
Welcome to the 2023 - 2024 school year! My name is Leslie Bentley and I am looking forward to a wonderful school year. This will be my fifth year as a School Counselor, but my first year at Thomson Elementary School. I attended Augusta University and received my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice. I received my Master's Degree in Counselor Education from Augusta University as well.
I look forward to getting to know the students, parents, and community. As the school counselor, I want to help our students be successful in school and in life outside of school. I will help students in the areas of academics and social-emotional growth. In order to help our students, I will collaborate with both families and school professionals.
As the counselor, I will work with students to provide classroom guidance on a variety of topics, as well as meet individually and in small group settings. I encourage you to contact your child's teacher to ensure success. It is my honor and pleasure to work within the McDuffie County community.
