Welcome to Ms. Flores's Class!
My name is Carley Flores, and I am so excited for my first year at Thomson Elementary School! I was born and raised in Augusta, GA. I have 6 years of experience teaching all grade levels (K-5) in both general education and special education. My favorite subjects are Math and Reading. I graduated from the University of North Georgia in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I also have a Reading endorsement.
In my free time, I enjoy being a "dog mom," reading books, listening to all kinds of music, traveling, doing yoga, and building LEGO sets.
One of my favorite parts of being a teacher is witnessing those "lightbulb" moments where a student begins to gain confidence in themselves and their learning. I can't wait to teach each of my students how to s-t-r-e-t-c-h their brains and try new and challenging things!
