School Counselor

Welcome to the 2018 - 2019 school year! My name is Jennifer Reid, and I am the school counselor at Thomson Elementary School. I am originally from Lincoln County. I attended Augusta University and received my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. I am currently completing my Master's Degree of Counselor Education in School Counseling at Augusta University.
Being that this is my first year at TES, I look forward to getting to know the students, parents, and community. As the school counselor, I want to help our students be successful in school and in life outside of school. I will help students in the areas of academics and social-emotional growth. In order to help our students, I will collaborate with families and school professionals.
As the counselor, I will work with students to provide classroom guidance on a variety of topics, as well as meet individually and / or in small group settings. I encourage you to keep in contact with your child's teacher to ensure success. We have many exciting events planned for this school year! It is my honor and pleasure to be working within the community of McDuffie County.
If you have any questions, suggestions, or comments you are invited to contact me at the information provided at the bottom of this page.
